Coach Matarazzo started his coaching career at Suffolk University in Boston, MA. He helped develop Suffolk's ACHA club hockey team into a NCAA Division 3 program, where he joined the coaching staff while also maintaining the club program. After his success as coach at the ACHA level, coach Matarazzo continued coaching on the Suffolk University Division 3 staff. His drive and passion for the game led him on his current career path working with young players on development and scouting for the NCAA. Matarazzo is currently an NCAA ECAC scout and a full-time skills instructor at Next Level Hockey.
Coach Zullo was born and raised in Woodbridge, NJ and learned to skate during winters at Warinanco Park starting at the age of four. Coach Zullo grew up playing youth hockey for the Woodbridge Wings before playing junior hockey for the Jersey Wildcats. Following that, he went to Montclair State University and played two years of Division 2 ACHA club hockey while studying physical education and health (undergraduate) and subsequently sports administration and coaching (graduate). Coach Zullo then decided to go to the coaching side of hockey and spent six seasons coaching seven teams, squirts through midgets, for Montclair Hockey Club while obtaining a Level 4 USA Hockey coaching certification.
Zullo's other hockey passion is officiating, and after fifteen years, he has developed into a level 4 official; officiating high school hockey for the past four seasons. Eric is also in his ninth season working for the New York Rangers "On-Ice Blue Crew," helping to maintain the Madison Square Garden ice during TV timeouts.
