Head Coach Varsity
Coach Zullo is a PE and Health teacher at RFH and now in his second year as head coach of the Bulldogs. Previously, he spent 4 years as the assistant hockey coach at RFH. His other coaching experience includes 6 seasons at various levels coaching for the Montclair Hockey Club, while also achieving a USA Hockey Level 4 Coaches Certification. Coach Zullo was born and raised in NJ, playing hockey at various organizations before a few years playing at Montclair State University ACHA DII. In addition to coaching, Zullo has been a USA Hockey official for 19 years and a NIHOA official for the past 9 years.
Assistant Coach Varsity
Coach Brad has been coaching hockey for 25 years spanning across multiple levels and leagues. He started with the Gold Coast Admirals organization in 2010, helping lead the 14U team to a Garden State League Championship. He then spent 3 seasons with their 18U teams. After that, Coach Brad had a short stint with the NJ Americans before spending 13 seasons as the assistant and head coach at Middletown South, until 2014. Coach Brad took a break after spending the 2015 season with the Brick Hockey Club and is now in his 2nd season as varsity assistant coach, mainly working with the defense, at RFH.
Assistant Coach Varsity
Coach Dino Pagano has been a teacher of Industrial Technology at RFH for the past 9 years and an integral part of the Bulldog’s hockey program for three years. Pagano has a rich hockey history as a player and coach. He played Junior and Collegiate level hockey with the Rochester Junior Americans (1986) and at Rutgers University (1989-1991), respectively. Pagano coached different levels of youth hockey in the Northeast and the Pacific Northwest, including New Jersey, Montana, and Alaska. He has been very active in coaching high school hockey as Head Coach at Palmer High School in Alaska, Assistant Coach at his high school alma mater, Livingston High School (NJ) in 2006 and 2007, and now with the RFH Bulldogs. Coach Pagano will assist Coaches Zullo and Powers with the Varsity team and help develop players within RFH’s Junior Varsity program. Coach Pagano resides in Rumson, NJ with his wife Susan and two sons, Avery and Logan.
Assistant Coach Varsity/Head Coach Junior Varsity
Coach Amato is entering his third season with the Bulldogs as the head coach of the junior varsity team. Previously Gregg held coaching positions at Monmouth University from 2012-2018, two seasons as an assistant and four as head coach, leading the team to 3 .500 or better seasons and 2 playoff appearances. His first coaching experience came at summer elite tournaments with youth teams ages 10-20 years. Gregg is certified by USA hockey as a level 4 Coach. Prior to Gregg’s coaching experience, he spent 4 years playing at NCAA D3 SUNY Brockport where he graduated with a finance degree. He had a 3-year junior hockey career playing with Cobourg and Port Hope in the Ontario Junior “A” Hockey League, captaining Cobourg for two seasons. In high school, Gregg won a conference defenseman of the year, a Trenton Titans Cup Championship, two team MVP awards, and served as captain for two seasons. Outside of hockey Gregg has a one-year-old son and works in corporate controlling.
